Zusammenfassung: | The bucketless bladed wheel on an excavator boom has a guide chute fixed to the latter and extending concentrically to it between the spoil intake and discharge points, also extending into the free space in it under the blades. The body of the wheel comprises two discs, one or both conical, joined together and stiffened by an edge ring (2). The blades (4) are secured, pref. detachably, to the ring and the body (1) by torsionally-rigid brackets (3), which can be part of them. On the side furthest from the ring they have a strengthened portion (8) joined via their rear wall (14) to the ring, the wall following the outline of the chute (9). The edge (10) of the latter furthest from the ring is raised, forming a sealing gap (11) with the strengthened portion. USE - Avoids choking when handling sticky material. |
