Zusammenfassung:	The invention comprises a device for coupling a driving gear to a shaft which allows manual coupling. The device according to the invention can be used advantageously as a handwheel coupling on domestic sewing machines. According to the invention, a ratchet lever can be set in two stable positions by means of a setting wheel constructed as a release disc, in which positions the ratchet lever is held by a tension spring arranged on the ratchet lever and on the driving gear. The invention can be applied wherever manual coupling is to take place for functional reasons.
