Zusammenfassung: | The invention relates to a device for simultaneously measuring the transverse thickness profile and the strip edge position during rolling of metal strips (flat sections) by using radioactive emitters (radiators) and a multiplicity of radiation receivers. In a known measuring device, emitters and receivers are arranged on a frame which reciprocates to and fro at right angles to the rolling direction. The strip is thus measured on many zig-zag lines, but relatively large regions cannot be covered by the measurement radiation. The object of the invention is to measure the strips precisely in the edge region, in particular, and simultaneously to measure the thickness and the width. According to the invention, one emitter is assigned cylindrical radiation receivers which are arranged one behind another in a plurality of rows and from whose circular area only a centre strip is faded in in each case. The strips participating in the measurement are assembled next to and behind one another in such a way that the metal strip is measured without gaps and the receivers of adjacent strips are as far as possible apart from one another in the rolling direction. |
