Arrangement for feeding an extremely low frequency transmission antenna

An essentially known DC-voltage-fed switching transformer is used to activate a transmission antenna in order to radiate extremely low frequencies (ELF) with an AC signal. Thanks to the high efficiency which can thus be achieved, only small cooling units are required. Since the switching transformer is operated with a switching frequency which is significantly higher than the actual transmission frequency, the size of the reactive elements of the arrangement is also minimised. The arrangement according to the invention is therefore especially important for mobile transmitters.
