Method and device to control data which can be processed in a specified period by a microprocessor or microcomputer with a fixed instruction set by successive processing of instructions

The subject of the invention is a method to control data which can be processed in a specified period by a microprocessor (1) or microcomputer with a fixed instruction set by successive processing of instructions. A special program memory (6), which has a larger number of memory positions per address than the program memory, is assigned to the microprocessor (1) or microcomputer. An extended instruction, which is read from this extended program memory, addresses a memory position in the data memory. Depending on the operation code, either the data in this memory position, optionally preprocessed, are inserted into the machine instruction which is given beforehand to the microprocessor (1) or microcomputer by a processing unit, or the data coming from the microprocessor (1) or microcomputer are optionally post-processed, and written into the addressed memory position by a machine instruction which is given beforehand by the processing unit, or the extended instruction consists only of a machine command which is to be executed unchanged. In all cases, the operation part of this machine instruction is determined by the operation part of the extended instruction.
