Heating block for heating valve blocks and measuring instruments

The invention relates to a heating block for heating valve blocks and measuring instruments. The heating block (1) consists of a block-shaped elongated heating element (2) with at least one flat longitudinal surface as contact surface (4, 10) for heat transfer contact to a countersurface (5), for example a valve block (6). In the heating element (2) a longitudinal hole (12) is provided in the immediate vicinity of the contact surface (4, 10) so that only a thin crosspiece of material (13, 14) remains between the hole (12) and the contact surface (4, 10). An elongated heating element (15) is inserted in the hole (12). In an opening (17), which extends to the hole (12), at least one miniature thermostat (20, 21) or temperature sensor is placed. Because of the block-shaped formation of the heating element (2) and the position of the heating element (15) as well as the thermostats (20, 21) a good regulation behaviour for the purpose of the application is achieved with a compact, space-saving shape. By attaching heater fins (3), which in an additional embodiment can be built as separate attachable fin elements, the heating block (1) can also be equipped for exclusive or additional convection heating.
