Filter plate for chamber filter presses

The aim of the invention is the construction of a thin-walled elastic filter plate, in which case pressure differences between the filter chambers are to be essentially excluded by optimal flow ratios for influx of the suspension and outflow of the filtrate. The aim of the invention is achieved by the middle part of a composite filter plate being furnished with vertically orientated longitudinal corrugations of great depth and being mounted in the edge region of the filter frame in recesses, the filter frame having in the lower section an outlet duct to which the longitudinal corrugations extend. Junction bushings inserted centrally into the middle parts form the feed duct for the suspension, the junction bushings themselves having cavities, the cross-sectional area of which is about one third of the flow cross-section of the junction bushing. The invention is principally applied in the ceramics industry for dewatering suspensions.
