Zusammenfassung:The invention relates to a motor vehicle with all-wheel drive based on a rear-wheel drive, in which the wheels of both the front axle and the rear axle are constantly driven and one of the axles is disengageable as a function of the driving conditions. The object of the invention is to create a motor vehicle of the said type, in which the clutch, in an inexpensive, compact construction, can easily be incorporated into the drive train of the motor vehicle and permits control taking optimum account of all driving, maintenance and test situations. In particular, it is intended to achieve the same braking performance in an all-wheel drive vehicle based on a rear-wheel drive as in a purely front-wheel drive vehicle. The object is achieved in that the wheels of the front axle are fully driven, the clutch causing the rear axle to be engaged or disengaged being arranged inside a transfer case.
