Zusammenfassung:	The invention relates to an internal combustion engine with liquid-cooled cylinder liner (1), a cooling space (3) being arranged between cylinder liner (1) and crankcase (2) and the cooling space (3) in a radial direction being formed by the cylinder liner (1) on the one hand and by a sheet metal jacket (8) on the other. By means of this arrangement an internal combustion engine is created, which has a cooling space (3), which can be cost-effectively manufactured with an easily adjustable form and can be easily fitted into the internal combustion engine with larger manufacturing tolerances (Fig. 1a, c).
