Zusammenfassung:The compressed products have a content of water of crystallisation, relative to pure calcium sulphate dihydrate, of 12 to 20% by weight, preferably 16 to 18% by weight. They are produced by compression of appropriately dried flue gas gypsum in roller presses or briquetting presses. The drying can preferably be carried out with a mixture of flue gas and hot air after air preheating, off-gas temperatures from 120 to 150 DEG C being preferred. After the dried flue gas gypsum has been separated off, these off-gases can be fed either to the combustion air or to the flue gas upstream of the flue gas desulphurisation.
