Zusammenfassung:A peeling machine for crops such as fruit and vegetables, especially a potato peeling machine, is proposed, which has a casing (10) and a holding device (22, 30) for one crop item, which device (22, 30) can be rotated by means of a motor. At least one peeling tool (35) which moves axially with respect to the axis of rotation of the holding device is mounted so as to be resilient in an essentially radial direction, so that it rests resiliently against the rotating crop item during the peeling process. It can therefore follow a very great variety of surface outlines of different crop items without difficulty, only one peeling process being performed in each case when the peel is of constant thickness.
