Zusammenfassung: | The invention of the distance measuring device provides a light barrier arrangement (alternatively: infrared barriers, ultrasonic barriers) which is operated by distance judges placed adjacently to the touchdown piste at the instant at which the jumper lands on the piste with both feet. As a result, trailing ski ends or the displaced legs in the so-called Telemark landing cannot influence the correct distance measurement. To achieve an unambiguous and relatively correct result of the measurement, the light barrier arrangement is only operated when at least three of the distance judges on duty have checked the touchdown. This is done with the aid of sensor switches which operate without delay and which forward their pulses to a switch which operates without delay and which, in turn, switches on the light barrier system after receiving 3 or more pulses. |
