Zusammenfassung: | The mirror according to the invention is in principle a combination of a planar mirror, or a mirror which is almost planar, with a mirror sector which takes the form of vertical strips, in the case of which the individual mirror strips are rotated about their vertical axis in such a way that they provide a view of the "blind" angle. The strip mirror causes the mirror image to appear to be composed of a multiplicity of pieces. This effect is desired, because it very clearly distinguishes the blind angle image from the actual rear view mirror image. The combined mirror can be made of different materials. For purely practical reasons, i.e. to prevent the occurrence of dirt-collecting points, it is deformed in the above way and provided with a mirror coating when transparent materials are on the back. In the case of front deformation of the mirror support it would be expedient, but not necessary according to the invention, to cover the rear view mirror with a transparent plate. |
