Process for the preparation of 2,6-naphthalenedicarboxylic acid by oxidising 6-alkyl-2-naphthoic acid
2,6-Naphthalenedicarboxylic acid is obtained in greatly improved purity and yield from 6-alkyl-2-naphthoic acid following the second step of the process according to DE-PS 3,529,381 by adding the alkylnaphthoic acid continuously or in portions during the reaction.
