Zusammenfassung:	An apparatus for veering a mooring rope, which comprises: a winch (2) provided on the upper deck (1) of a ship at the width center thereof, said winch having a drum (3) of which the axis of rotation is arranged in parallel with the longitudinal direction of said ship, for hauling in and veering out a mooring rope (5); a rail (9) laid on said upper deck (1) in parallel with the width direction of said ship and passing below said drum (3); and a rope feeder (10, 10') capable of traveling on said rail (9). Said rope feeder comprises a pair of pinch rolls (14, 14') having axes of rotation arranged in parallel with each other for gripping said mooring rope (5) and veering out same from said drum (3), and a reversing mechanism (16, 16') for reversing the relative position of said pair of pinch rolls (14, 14') to reverse the veering direction of the leading end of said mooring rope (5) gripped by said pair of pinch rolls (14, 14')
