Zusammenfassung: | The invention proposes a device for the simultaneous machining of the inner and outer circumferential surfaces of non-circular hollow bodies, in particular piston rings. The machine tools used are milling cutters which, to reduce the forces acting on the workpieces, can be driven in opposite directions of rotation. The longitudinal slide which provides the feed motion in the longitudinal direction is subject to position control. The cross-slide which produces the copying motion is preferably numerically controlled. |
