Zusammenfassung: | A grab, in particular a single-rope grab, is specified in which the grab shells connected to one another on the inside in an articulated manner are connected on the outside to a stirrup in an articulated manner via suspension rods, and the lifting-rope ends are diverted via deflection pulleys attached to a movable cross piece and are fastened to the stirrup or are diverted once again via pulleys attached to the stirrup and are fastened to the movable cross piece. In this arrangement, a guide rod sliding in the movable cross piece is fastened to the articulation point of the grab shells. The guide rod has a projection near its bottom end. When the open grab is set down, a latch or the like fastened to the cross piece comes into engagement in a self-locking manner with the boundary surface, directed downwards, of the projection during the upward movement of the movable cross piece for the purpose of closing the grab. In addition, there are first spring means which keep the latch in engagement in addition to the self-locking when the movable cross piece moves up again. Finally, the engagement of the latch with the projection can be neutralised automatically upon setting down the closed grab or by external manipulation before the setting-down. According to the invention, two projections are arranged diametrically opposite one another on the guide rod, and a latch or the like is allocated to each of the projections, the first spring means acting on the latch in such a way that these spring means constantly attempt to ... their engagement with the ...
