Device for piling flexible work-pieces

The aim of the invention is to develop a constructionally simple device for the secure setting-down of flexible work-pieces of different lengths with large implementable pile heights at the same time. According to the invention, in the case of setting down short items of garment parts, the garment part set down is clamped against a fixed stop by means of a first clamping bar directly after the delivery edge of the sewing machine table when the sewing operation has been completed. The garment part is then piled above the delivery table by a transfer bar, it being held there by a second clamping bar. In the case of setting down long items of garment parts, the garment part is not gripped directly after the delivery edge of the sewing table when the sewing operation has been completed, but the first clamping bar moves in the sewing direction and clamps the garment part against a fixed edge directly on the delivery table.
