Zusammenfassung:	The kitchen utensil (1) operated by electric motor consists of a drive shaft (15) arranged in a housing (2) and a tool shaft (18) which can be brought into engagement with the drive shaft (15) via a clutch (24). The tool shaft (18) serves to drive a tool (48) which serves to treat foodstuffs and is connected to the tool shaft (18) in such a way as to be fixed in terms of rotation. The tool shaft (18) is connected to the drive shaft (15) in such a way as to be fixed in terms of rotation only when the tool shaft (18) undergoes an axial displacement in its longitudinal direction by means of the tool (42, 48) for the purpose of engaging the dog clutch (24) against the force of a spring element (35). The tool (42, 48) is directly mounted on the tool shaft (18).
