Zusammenfassung:	The invention relates to a handle for suitcase-type or similar containers and directly portable equipment, the handle strip being of countersunk arrangement in the position of non-use and being moved into a position of use by pulling it out. With the aim of developing a carrying possibility which can be produced economically and takes up only minimum space, the invention is based on the object of providing a pull-out handle for one of the carrying units mentioned above, the substantially U-shaped gripping bar of said handle being guided by its parallel limbs so as to be longitudinally displaceable on a carrying component. The object is achieved in that the limbs are of hooked construction at their free ends and can be spread apart elastically for the initial introduction into the guides (assembly), and in that the carrying component is provided with stops for the hooks in addition to the limb guides.
