Zusammenfassung: | The invention relates to an optical conductor, in particular an optical cable, having at least one optical fibre which consists of a glass core provided with a primary protective layer and which is additionally surrounded by a second protective layer which consists of a plastic reinforced by stress-relieving fibres, for example GRP, CRP or Kevlar armouring, and has an outside diameter of less than 1.5 mm. In order for it to be possible to produce individual connections at different locations remote from one another without vault closures, even in the case of rough handling, it being the case that the end region of a respective optical fibre is to be capable of being laid readily in the desired course without the risk of breakage, the end regions of at least a portion of the optical fibres (5, 6, 7) are additionally provided with a pushed-on plastic sheath whose outside diameter is at least 2.5 mm, preferably 3.5 mm. |
