Method for combustion of wood sanding dust in industrial furnaces

The invention relates to the combustion of accumulated industrial dust-like fuels, in particular of wood sanding dust in industrial furnaces. It is preferably suitable for hot-gas generators in wood-chip drying installations in the chipboard industry. The aim is, with it, to save other liquid and gaseous fuels. The object is to use wood sanding dust without support fuel. The essential feature consists in drawing the dust off from a proportioning container by means of a proportioning device, proportioning a cold air flow and supplying these as a primary air/dust mixture to a swirl burner known per se and, with likewise cold secondary air being supplied into the swirl burner, combusting this in the following combustion chamber after ignition has taken place, without support fuel.
