Electrical installation switch

The invention relates to an electrical installation switch, by means of which it is possible to carry out two different switching functions, specifically the rocker-switch function and the push-button switch function. To this end, a switching segment in the form of an angle and a pivoting shaft for support in a supporting plate are located on the underneath of an operating device. The switching segment is constructed in the form of an angle and has a straight limb which points downwards and on which a second is integrally formed in a bent manner. Depending on the intended switching function, one limb or the other is operatively connected to a U-bracket which is supported on a switch housing such that it can pivot and which, during a switching operation, operates a sprung switching plunger on the switch housing. The change in function is in each case carried out by releasing the operating device from the supporting plate, rotating the operating device through 180 DEG , and subsequently inserting it into the supporting plate again. This rotation results in either the straight limb or the bent limb interacting in a specified manner with the U-bracket in order to carry out the selected switching function. No structural changes are required for carrying out the one switching function or the other.
