Zusammenfassung: | In order to achieve a high bond quality with only one adhesion-promoting intermediate layer when covering metal pipes with polyolefin by extrusion coating, the covering material containing as main component low density polyethylene and the intermediate layer being applied by powder fusion, the adhesion-promoting intermediate layer is generated using pulverulent high density polyethylene with a grain size of 10 to 100 mu m and a melt flow index of 2 to 50 g/10min (190 DEG C/50N) which is sintered onto the pipe surface in the presence of air and at a substrate temperature of 190 DEG C to 290 DEG C with an average thickness of 5 to 120 mu m. |
