Zusammenfassung:	A gas-filled spring having a cylinder contains in this cylinder a longitudinally displaceable piston which supports a piston rod emerging from the cylinder. The cylinder is filled with a pressurised gas. In order to be able to adjust the hardness of the gas-filled spring after filling in the factory, the cylinder contains a duct ventilating the interior outwardly, which duct can be closed gastightly by a valve to be operated from outside. This valve is held in the closed position by the pressure prevailing in the cylinder chamber.
