Process and arrangement for reducing the foam formed on at least one process liquid subjected to processing operations

The invention relates to a process and an arrangement for reducing the foam formed on at least one process liquid subjected to processing operations, e.g. in the case of mixing, gas scrubbing, distillation or evaporation operations or the like, the foam occurring on the process liquid(s), e.g. water, being destroyed or reduced, in particular on exceeding a defined level, to destroy the foam, as far as possible the entire surface of the process liquid(s) or the surface of the foam present on the process liquid(s) being sprayed with at least one spraying liquid, preferably in the form of many thin jets or droplets, and that advantageously, the spraying liquid(s) sprayed onto the surface is at least one liquid used as a process liquid which is obtained or discharged from a reservoir and/or the process itself, e.g. distillate or condensate.
