Zusammenfassung:	The pool wall of a swimming pool has a continuous base frame (1) and a continuous head frame (2), both of which comprise U-profile rails (3, 4). Double-shelled wall-surface elements (10) provided with a rigid-foam insulating layer (14) are received by means of their upper and lower edges in the U-profile rails (4 and 3) of the head frame (2) and base frame (1), respectively. Tie rods (7) connect the base frame (1) to the head frame (2) at a plurality of points. The pool wall can absorb the lateral forces, caused by filling with water or pressure on the base, in a self-supporting manner; back-filling with concrete is not necessary.
