The invention relates to a crane which can be mounted on a vehicle and can be folded up from the operating position into a compact position for transport. The crane comprises a two-part column (8, 9) mounted on a foot (1) and having a joint. A lifting cylinder (6) is attached to the bottom part (9) of the column in an articulated manner. To lock the lifting cylinder (6) with regard to the top part (8) of the column in the operating or transport position of the crane, two steering levers (18, 20), which are attached to one another by the pivoting spindle (15) of the lifting cylinder (6) and are both provided with a stop (21, 22) against the top part (8) of the column, and counterstops (23, 25, 24, 26) for the operating or transport position on the top part (8) of the column are used. The joint is supported on four surfaces in both the operating and transport position, as a result of which it can advantageously absorb the loads directed towards it. ……
