Equipment for overhead submerged arc welding

The equipment for overhead submerged arc welding includes a container (1) for the welding powder (2) together with a shell (3) installed therein for pressing the welding powder (2) against the welding groove. A regulating plate (13) and a mouthpiece (9), which is connected by a flexible hose (11) to a mechanism (12) for feeding a consumable electrode (10) to the mouthpiece (9), are situated in said shell (3). The shell (3) has an outlet opening aligned towards the groove and an inlet opening that is joined to a connection piece (5) for supplying the welding powder (2) to the shell (3). The container (1) is rotatably arranged, on a suspension device by means of a shaft (14), about said axis (14) and is equipped with a copying element (15) that is mounted at the level of the plate (13) and offset relative to the inlet opening of the shell (3). The shaft (14) of the suspension device of the container (1) is offset relative to the copying element (15). The suspension device of the container has means for pressing the container (1) and the copying element (15) against the part (4) to be welded.
