Zusammenfassung:	The invention relates to a fume-extraction device on die-casting and injection-moulding machines, having an extraction hood for waste gases and vapours and having at least one movably mounted protective door. To save space and reduce the re-setting times of the machine, the fume-extraction device is designed in such a way that the protective door is simultaneously designed as an extraction hood. This encloses the machine in the manner of a shell or tank and is connected directly or indirectly to a filter unit in order in this way to give off the air from which waste gases and vapours have been filtered out directly to the surrounding room air without thermal loading.
