Use of an aqueous epoxy resin emulsion for producing foamed concrete

A new use of an aqueous epoxy resin emulsion is described which consists of a liquid epoxy resin, a curing agent and, if appropriate, a reactive diluent and other conventional auxiliaries for producing foamed concrete. Preferably the aqueous epoxy resin emulsion is mixed with the mixture of cement and water before the latter is brought together with the foaming agent. The described process is suitable for producing coated and uncoated construction boards from foamed concrete which contain epoxy resin in the foamed material. They have a much higher compressive strength than components made of normal foamed concrete.
