Milk-quantity measuring appliance for a milking installation

In a milk-quantity measuring appliance for a milking installation, for measuring the milk quantity discharged by a cow during a milking operation, the measuring container for the milk is assigned a pressure sensor having a pressure diaphragm provided in the bottom region of the measuring container, said pressure sensor serving, in conjunction with an evaluation device, for sensing the weight of the milk quantity milked. The measuring container for the milk is preceded by a vacuum-loaded separating chamber for separating the air from the milk. To eliminate the effect of the vacuum on the pressure diaphragm of the pressure sensor, the pressure sensor of the measuring container is assigned a corresponding device which, according to the first exemplary embodiment, is a pressure-compensating line connecting the diaphragm side of the pressure diaphragm not coming into contact with the milk to the vacuum-loaded air space in the measuring container. Such a device ensures that no falsification of the measurement result occurs and the milk quantity milked, including possible residual milk quantities, in the measuring container can be recorded in full.
