Zusammenfassung:	A roller shutter bar 1 consists of a metal part 3 and a plastic part 4 connected rigidly thereto. Both the metal part 3 and the plastic part 4 have mutually adapted S-shaped profile cross-sections. At the same time, the plastic part 4 extends from the longitudinal edge 7 of one joint part 5 to the longitudinal edge 8 of the other joint part 6 of the metal part 3, having a minimal thickness at the joint parts 5, 6, which gradually increases towards the centre of the roller shutter bar 1. As a result, a deflection-resistant roller shutter bar 1 is achieved and an armour made from such roller shutter bars 1 reveals in the lowered state no cold bridges while at the same time it has in the rolled-up state a relatively small roll diameter.
