O2-Permeable hard contact lens is prepd. from a copolymer contg. (a) an organosilane or organosiloxane cpd. contg. in one mol., at least one acrylate or methacrylate gp. having formula CH2=CR1-COO-(-CH2CHOHCH2O-)k-(CH2)l- (I) (where R1 is H or Me; k is 0 or 1 and l is 1 or 3) and no more than 16 Si atoms, and (b) a fluoroalkyl acrylate or methacrylate having formula CH2=CR1-COO-(-CH2CHOHCH2-)m-(CnH2n-)-Rf (II) (where m is 0 or 1; n is 0 or integer 1-3 and Rf is linear or branched fluoroalkyl contg. 2-21 F atoms). In addn. to improve O2-permeability, the lenses have improved impact-strength, hardness, rigidity and dimensional stability resulting in constant optical properties. Beschrieben wird eine sauerstoff-permeable harte Kontaktlinse mit verbesserter Permabilität für Sauerstoff und verbesserter Zerbrechlichkeit sowie ausgezeichneter Härte und Steifigkeit, hergestellt aus einem Copolymeren, enthaltend ein Organosilan oder Organosiloxan, das in einem Molekül mindestens eine Gruppe der allgemeinen Formel (I) DOLLAR F1 enthält, worin R·1· ein Wasserstoffatom oder eine Methylgruppe ist, k 0 oder 1 ist und l 1 oder 3 ist, DOLLAR A und mit mindestens 16 Siliziumatomen und ein Fluoralkylacrylat oder -methacrylat der allgemeinen Formel (II) DOLLAR F2 worin R·1· wie vorstehend defieniert ist, m 0 oder 1 ist, n 0 oder eine ganze Zahl von 1 bis 3 ist, und R¶f¶ eine gerade oder verzweigte Fluoralkylgruppe mit 2 bis 21 Fluoratomen ist.
