Monitoring unit for motor vehicle lamp power circuit

The terminals of the load circuits to be monitored are brought to a connector plate (10), typically a moulding made of synthetic material. The printed circuit card (11) forming part of the monitoring circuits is mounted at right angles to the plate (10).Components and printed conductors (13,12) are on the side of the card facing away from the plate (10).The current measuring shunt (20,21) is punched out of suitable resistance material, and has load current terminals (22,23) which connect onto the plate terminals (10). Pressed out projections (26,27) form connections to the circuit card (11) and carry the measuring current. They pass through holes in the card and are soldered to the printed conductors. With this arrangement the measuring terminals (26,27) do not carry load current. The shunts (20,21) are shaped to give good mechanical stability. Supporting projections (29) are arranged where necessary. Two shunts (20,21) can be formed as one punching if load circuit conditions demand it
