Beschreibung
Zusammenfassung:	Cutting and welding apparatus for trimming and welding the ends of sheet-metal strips which are drawn off from a supply coil and fed to a processing station. The trailing end of the strip and the start of the strip from the new supply coil are trimmed by means of a cutting tool and butt-welded together by means of a line welding device. The line welding device and the cutting tool are mounted on a C-shaped upright, allowing the apparatus to be moved away transversely to the welded strip and moved to another work station. The guide rail of the cutting tool lies in the working plane of the sheet-metal strip and perpendicularly below the line welding device. For the trimming of the start of the sheet, the guide rail is displaced relative to the working plane. For this, the welding electrode is moved into a raised position and the counter-electrode, arranged underneath the guide rail, of the line welding device is pivoted out of the region of the cutting paths.
