Zusammenfassung:	In the case of a motor vehicle with a standard unit comprising an engine-transmission block, a vehicle axle and a subframe, which unit is held in the bodywork having an engine compartment cover, walls are fixed on the subframe covering this below and at the sides and the side walls, between which the engine is arranged, connected to the subframe preferably by way of rubber bearings, are connected to the body walls and extend the latter downwards. In this way, double walls are avoided and in addition the fixing of the walls on the subframe ensures that the walls do not have to be inserted between the body walls and the engine after mounting of the engine as has been the case hitherto, thereby essentially simplifying the assembly.
