Apparatus for removing gas from a liquid stream

Apparatus for removing gas from a liquid stream having a gas bubble removal chamber and a device for discharging collected gas from the gas bubble removal chamber via a gas discharge nozzle relieved from pressure. The device for discharging collected gas automatically responds to a predetermined amount of collected gas. The gas discharge nozzle of the device for discharging collected gas has a floating valve body having a surrounding valve seat and an upper "closed" valve position and a lower "open" valve position. A minimal part-stream, exiting via the gas discharge nozzle, of the liquid stream can flow round or through the floating valve body which is thus held in its upper "closed" valve position. It is, moreover, tensioned by a returning force. The floating valve body can be moved by the returning force into the "open" valve position, in which the collected gas escapes from the gas bubble removal chamber, when the said part-stream has transported a predetermined amount of gas or an amount greater than this.
