Side wall for rotating vessels, in particular drum mills

The invention relates to a side wall for rotating vessels, in particular drum mills. The aim of the invention is to provide optimum preconditions for lightweight vessel construction, the object being to achieve a moment-free introduction of supporting forces into the vessel walls. A feature of the invention is that there is connected to a dished end known per se, with a bearing bush on the inside, a spherical cap having a direction of curvature which is opposite that of the dished end, the wall thickness of the spherical cap corresponding approximately to that of the dished end and the radius of curvature corresponding approximately to half and the diameter corresponding approximately to one third of the diameter of the dished end. The spherical cap has in the centre a centring ring reaching telescopically into the bearing bush and, after compensating for production tolerances by means of the ring, can be connected using the latter rigidly to the bearing bush.
