Zusammenfassung:	The invention specifies a method for cleaning and disinfecting articles used, especially in the fields of medicine and general nursing, in an enclosed treatment apparatus, the articles in a carrier liquid being treated with a cleaning agent and a disinfectant at a maximum temperature of 70 DEG C and thereafter being rinsed. The method is characterised in that the articles in the carrier liquid are initially treated with the cleaning agent only, and the disinfectant is then added to the carrier liquid.
