Zusammenfassung:	To dope the metal surfaces, soluble zinc, manganese or calcium compounds are added to the pickling solutions for pickling and activating metal surfaces specified in Patent Application P 3314974.7, which are organic, homogeneous, lower-water pickling solutions containing halogenated hydrocarbons as basic solvent, aqueous phosphoric acid as pickling agent, at least one alcohol as solubiliser and at least one inhibitor for protecting the bare metal.
