Zusammenfassung:	The invention relates to a spindle brake of compact design, in particular for rail vehicles, as a hand brake or parking brake. The object is to reduce the number of components and to improve the efficiency. As a result, the brake-force transmitting components and the components which secure against rotation are appropriately arranged. According to the invention, a pair of levers which is connected at its upper pivoting point to the brake spindle nut is vertically arranged in a gear box. The lower end of said pair of levers is guided in sliding tracks of the gear box. Between the pivoting points of the pair of levers, a pull rod or push rod is arranged. ……
