Starting time limitation for internal combustion engines with fuel injection

Circuits are described for starting time limitation for internal combustion engines with fuel injection. During the starting process the mixture is enriched as usual, but once the freely selectable starting time limit has expired the enrichment is prematurely switched off. Unavoidable interference pulses and the voltage ramp on completion of the starting process, characteristic of certain types of starter, can no longer lead to a further mixture enrichment and hence to overrich running of the internal combustion engine. This is made possible by an additional monostable circuit, which is set on starting and is automatically reset on completion of the starting time limit duration. The starting time limiting circuit is especially suitable for motor vehicles with an injection engine.
