Wiper device for motor vehicle windows

A device is proposed which serves for wiping the windows of motor vehicles. The wiper device comprises a wiper arm which is driven in oscillating fashion and carries out a translatory forwards and backwards movement in its longitudinal extent which is superimposed on this oscillatory movement. At the free end of the wiper arm, an adaptor is arranged which has means for the detachable attachment of a wiper blade which lies on the window. These attachment means are formed by two jaws which can be moved in relation to one another and between which a bearing point for a joint pin of the wiper blade is arranged. One jaw is permanently connected to the adaptor whilst the other jaw is moved away by the first jaw in order to move the joint pin into the bearing point, and is arranged so as to be capable of being moved towards the first jaw and fixed under pressure in order to hold the joint pin in the bearing point. ……
