Zusammenfassung:	Linear unit for handling devices for industrial production, having a running carriage (10) which is movably guided on a slotted tube (12) and serves as support for further units of the handling device. The running carriage (10) is driven by mechanical transmission means (20, 24, 58, 60) which are guided at least partially through the tube (12) and reach through the slot (62) of the tube (12). The running carriage (10) is equipped with running rollers (30) and with supporting rollers (72) which engage into the slot (62) of the tube (12). Some of the running rollers (30), and the supporting rollers (72) are adjustable to eliminate play, thus resulting in an arrangement which is free from play and resistant to torsion and is of simple and space-saving design.
