Zusammenfassung:	The proposed toothpaste for the treatment and prophylaxis of caries is composed according to the invention of an abrasive, of a gelatinising agent, of a wetting agent, of a surface-active agent and of 0.5-2% by weight of an anticaries agent which is a product which is prepared by treating the bone tissue with a dilute mineral acid until there has been complete dissolution of the mineral components and water-soluble proteins which are present in the bone tissue, by separating the prepared solution and diluting it with water with the addition of citric acid or its salts as stabilisers and subsequently neutralising the solution and drying. The proposed invention is used in daily care of the oral cavity and for ensuring an antiinflammatory action in periodontal disorders and for an anaesthetising action when there is hyperaesthesia of the solid tissue of the teeth.
