Floor element for constructing an engine compartment of a motor vehicle in a sound-absorbing manner

The invention relates to a floor element for constructing in a sound-absorbing manner a motor vehicle engine compartment in the form of a sound-absorbing shell which can be attached to the vehicle body and is constructed as an auxiliary frame which is shaped on the underside essentially according to aerodynamic considerations. The floor element which serves as a noise capsule thus also forms a component of the vehicle body with a bearing function which replaces a subframe which at least holds parts of the wheel suspension and/or the drive block and/or parts of the steering and simultaneously provides an improvement in the aerodynamic conditions on the underside of the engine compartment.
