Zusammenfassung:	The invention relates to a gas testing apparatus, in particular for determining the CO content of exhaust gases, which is equipped with a gas analyser incorporating an injection device, a zeroing device and a calibration unit, and furthermore with a unit for measuring the state variable, an indicator, a printer and a unit for starting the measurement. The essence of the invention is that, to satisfy the official measurement conditions and to ensure portability, the evaluation unit is equipped with a time controller, and that the unit for measuring the state variable, preferably a tachometer, the zeroing device, the calibration unit and the gas analyser are connected to the time controller, and the output of the time controller is connected to the control output of the evaluation unit. The apparatus according to the invention is suitable for officially testing internal combustion engine exhaust gases and other gas mixtures.
