Heated roller fixing device for electrophotographic copying devices

In a heated roller fixing device for electrophotographic copying devices with, arranged inside the heated roller (2), a thermostatically regulated heating element (5), the surface temperature of the heated roller (2) is measured contactlessly by means of a thermochain (16) consisting of thermoelements and the measuring result is entered into the temperature regulating circuit of the heated roller. The use of a thermochain (16) allows a relatively large distance from the heated roller surface to be maintained, as a result of which the measuring element is protected against dirtying and, as a result of its relative insensitivity to changes of distance, can be replaced easily. The response time of the thermochain, which is short in relation to other measuring arrangements, increases the regulating accuracy which can be achieved.
