Filling ring for the drop base of wheels with pneumatic tyres

These rings are intended to prevent undesired dipping of the tyre beads into the drop base and thus shedding of the tyre. In order to be able to provide a filling ring with these requirements in mind, which can be easily fitted and is operationally reliable and yet also does not cause imbalances even at relatively high speed, a belt is proposed which spans the drop base and is provided with projections which are supported in the drop base, run transversely with respect to this belt and have to be matched to the contour of the drop base. The belt is to be manufactured in noncontinuous form and to be capable of being easily joined to form an endless ring, which can be achieved by means of a push-button-like quick-action connection.
